Question about Sony VAIO VGC-RB50 PC Desktop
I have a PC - Sony VGC-RB50 that is less than 2-year-old suddenly the screen froze up and forced me to do a power reboot. After I powered up the system, nothing displayed on my monitor - not even memory count or BIOS information. I checked and the system has power, because powersupply fan, CPU heatsink fan, and PC unit fan are all running. I double-check the monitor connection, and even replaced with a different working monitor and still no signla displayed on the screen. I thought there would be something wrong with the video card, but it is an integrated video card and I could not re-seat that. I even purchased a new external video card, and connect the monitor to that and still nothing show up. The strange thing that I noticed is the CPU heatsink fan runs constantly without stopping. Now I don't know what's wrong with this PC or what else to try. Thank you ahead. lk.
I have the sony vgc rb40. I lost all video. I installed a new video card in the slot and only get the startup screen saying VAIO. It will not load windows. Plus, can't load the drivers from the cd because I can't see what to click. Any suggestions?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think that the MB or the processor just took a dive on you. Most likely the processor... as you are able to power up. If it were the memory or the video card, you would hear a series of beeps when trying to start the computer. And you already verified the monitor is fine.
