Amana Built-in Oven/Broiler electrical

Amana Built-in Oven/Broiler electrical short The broiler coil shorted in the oven/broiler compartment and there was a very bright light from the broiler. The broiler element was burning, almost as bright as a welding procedure.
The oven is about 8 years old. I can still use the oven, but not the broiler section.
Anyone else have this problem?
