Phone turns off when called if personal ring tone set
I tried calling my prada from my other phone. I have set the one and only sound file that I could save to the phone as a ring tone. When I ring it, the phone turns off. The other thing that happens is that if I have a jpeg assigned to a contact, whether I also set my own sound or not, it defaults back to the phone's original ring tone when called by that contact.
This is a weird one - the phone memory only lets me save one music file to it before saying it's memory is full and as files need to be saved to phone to enable assigning to contacts, it proves very restricting. If you want to use more than one tune in your contacts list you are done for due to the small memory the phone has. Why does this phone give you seemingly, such versatility yet in reality it renders it's own capabilities impossible to implement!
I am so frustrated with this!

Some how your phone was reset or had the tone turned off. Just follow the below guide and your audio should come back on. I would do a soft reset (turn off the handset, remove the battery then reinsert) before performing the instructions.
Tone settings To select a ringing tone for voice calls, select Tones > Ringing tone. To select a ringing tone for video calls, select Tones > Video call tone. To set the ringing type, select Tones > Ringing type. You can also set the device to sound a ringing tone that is a combination of the spoken name of the caller and the selected ringing tone, when someone from your contacts list calls you. Select Tones > Say caller's name. To set the volume level of the ringing tone, select Tones > Ringing volume. To set the various alert tones, select Tones > Message alert tone, E-mail alert tone, Calendar alarm tone, or Clock alarm tone. To set the device to vibrate when you receive a call, select Tones > Vibrating alert. To set the volume level of the device keypad tones, select Tones > Keypad tones.
I have included a link to download your user manual if needed, it comes as a PDF file so you need to have adobe PDF down loader
Discovery: You are able to download wave files (and other audio file types) to your phone and even be given the feature, 'set as ring tone' -DONT.
You will find that your phone malfunctions if you set anything other than an MP3 from your phone's MP3 folder, as a ring tone.
It's the fault of the phone's firmware that leads you to believe you can select a ring tone from an audio file that is stored outside of the MP3 folder.
It is also evident, with the limited memory the phone itself has to store MP3s, that you will NOT be able to personalize ring tones for every contact in your phone book! Again, this is not explained in the manual properly and has led to much confusion surrounding MP3 functionality on the Prada LG.
I hope this helps.
Settings In this menu, you can adjust various phone settings. To reset some menu settings to their default values, select Restore factory set. Tone settings Select Menu > Settings > Tone settings and from the available options: Ringing tone-To set the tone for incoming calls Ringing volume-To set the volume level for the ringing and message alert tones. If you set Ringing volume to be level 2 or above, your phone rings with the ringing volume ascending from level 1 to the level you have set when there is an incoming call. Vibrating alert-To set the phone to vibrate when you receive a call or a text message Message alert tone-To set the tone to sound when you receive a text message Warning tones-To set the phone to sound tones, for example, when the battery is running out of power
Does the phone ring when you receive an incoming call? If so, press Menu go to Control Panel (or might be the profile is shown in the menu) after control panel, Profile then Options and then Personalize, then, scroll down and again select Message Alert Tone, set the Tone for the message. Also make sure that the volume is turned up. Save the settings and try again. If this doesn't help and you don't hear any ring tone during an incoming call, let me know after checking the sound settings.
