ask Toshiba yet,? let me guess they don't answer calls.

The year it was made and exact model dictates how it is down.
1: coin cell reset.
2: jumper reset
3: EEPROM chip PW storage (very hard to remove)
4: TPM chip PW storage, only Toshiba can reset this.

no PC stated 1995 to now, 1000s made
no OS stated, ? windows what, (matters )
why not ask ASUS this, but they will ask you 2 things. at least.

If you had successfully reset it then you would have reset the password. Below is there manual. Please note page 60 the number of seconds to hold the button maybe?

from the 1 pin that is single without pair..disregard that then put the pw button.. to make sure short it using a philips or long nose.. if you find the power on button...or just find first the power button by shorting the pins...

the sequnce are pw button reset button pw led hdd led..you just nid to align them to the power button..
