Re: Buzzing noise

I have the Philips HTS3450 DVD home theater system. I have had it for over a year now, and love it, except.... In the past couple of moths we recently moved. After hooking up the system exactly like it was premove, I get a clicking sound that starts out spaced apart, and progressivly gets closer, and closer, until it becomes one high pitched sound from all my speakers. It reminds me of some kinda of warming up sequance. It started out rather quickly, and over the past few months has gotten longer and slower. There is no sound until it goes through this routine. once its done, all is well, until.... Today, no clicking, no progression to a high pitch union. Nothing. So now I have no sound what so ever. I have double, and tripled checked all connections. Recycled the power several times. Double and tripled checked all settings too. I do not know what could be wrong....

Re: Buzzing noise

If the sound goes out completely, try hitting the mute button (to mute it) and then hit it again (to un-mute). I've found that this work-around typically gets it working, at least.

Buzzing is usally AC line noise leaking into an un-shielded cable somewhere or a floating ground. If the AC plug is reversible, try that. Sometimes the buzz is from an attached device. Make sure all audio cables are plugged in tightly at each end and routed away from or at right angles to any power cords and away from other sources of strong magnetic fields like TV's. I've also seen variable track lights induce noise but it's usually minor.

Try rotating the power cord in the wall outlet.

If it still does it with no cables or anything external attached it

Buzzing sound coming from all speakers

Can't say for sure (not a lot to go off of) but whenever i hear a buzzing sound from my speakers, its because of a poor connection (broken/exposed/bent) of the audio cables (whether its the red/white, or headphone jack (computers)).

Buzzing noise coming from speakers in phillips mcd718 micro theatre after having installed insignia 52 plasma hdtv. Just happened about four hours ago.

possibly a ground issue , do you have everything plugged into a line conditioning power strip? are your speaker wire,s plugged into the red and black speaker connectors propperly, and are the positive and negative wires in the right order? also check that the component or hdmi cables are not the issue , but usually the buzzing noise would sound more like a ground issue , I hope i was able to help you solve your issue if not feel free to contact me again so we can tackle this issue together , if i was able to help you pleace leave a nice review ,thanks alot ,Sincerely glenn mayer

Continous Buzz/Pulse from speakers No other sounds come out

Sounds like you have an open filter capacitor. Your gonna need to look at the b+ and figure out what cap is bad. A circuit diagram would assist you in this repair. If you have no experience with electronic repairs then your gonna need a pro to assist you with this as there are no user replaceable parts inside this unit. Sorry Man. Good Luck
