Hi, I have a glass reinforced concrete composite stone outdoor table (roman style stone table) which has snapped cleanly through the middle (because somebody sat on it). Is there anyway to repair it? I have heard that a mixture of resin and concrete could be used but I don't want a crack to be visible. Does anyone know how to fix or an expert that could fix it?
Believe it or not Gorilla Glue holds that sort of thing quite well. You may have a visible line, but not too bad providing you keep the pieces held together tightly for an hour or so (it foams and expands -- scrape off the excess after it dries.) I would also get some epoxy (the thin stuff, not the putty stuff) and some fiberglass mesh and reinforce the bottom. Something else -- some contractors who do foundation repair have an epoxy and carbon fiber mesh that would do that and be indestructible -- see if you can find one in your area. I could give you someone in my area, but that probably wouldn't help you. You'll have to call around. If you can't find it, the fiberglass mesh is used in boat, RV, and tractor trailer repair so one of those shops should be able to sell you some.
