Question about Mitsubishi MSZ09UN Air Conditioner

Flashing lights and not putting out heat

Its been running fine except for a couple months ago when the lights started flashing and it wasnt putting out any heat. We cleaned the leaves from the outside part of the unit and it has worked fine until yesterday. With the temp down to 13degrees it sucks to not have heat. It has been flashing six times what does this mean?

I have a rudd UHLA-3617JA high achiever air handeler, works fine except the electric heater will not come fan starts normally, is this a fuse/breaker or failed electric element problem, how can i tell

It is either the element, sequencer (or contactor/relay), or power to the switching element. 5KW Elements normally Ohm out @ around 10 Ohms when they are good. Everything you need to check requires a multimeter.

Carrrier Central heat and air. Model 38CKC042300, Serial 4101E7590, Prosuct 38CKC042_ _ _301_ _. Woke up to hot house. Fan running but compressor outside isn't. Cool on flashing in thermostat window when I...

Unfortunately no, this is one of three things.
1. Compressor is worn and is starting to pull to many amps to operate. Can possibly be fixed by putting a hard start kit on the unit, but will have to be done by a technician.
2. Compressor has an internal short and will have to be replaced.
3. Fuses bad or under sized. Max fuse size is stated on information plate on outside unit.

Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope you can get it fixed soon!

Carrier Gas Furnace runs fine randomly stops blowing LEDs flash

That blinking light may be the diagnostic light. Count the blinks next time it fails. Carrier units will have two different blinks depicting the error code such as one blink followed by a pause than 3 blinks giving you an error code of 13. Then look at the wiring diagram, it will have an error code chart telling you where to start with your diagnosis. You already know that if you remove the cover it erases the error code, so look thru the small window first.

Mod# A-SMH18SA SER# 2791206189 Heat controller mini-split. Cust says lights flashing on board- he resets it, yet it resumes to just flashing at the board. Nothing runs. Long drive out there- any ideas. Was...

First of all, Heat Controller does not mount any schematics on their systems panels at all and supply no information for the service tech to code the light on the outdoor board. This is unbelievable.
Anyway- I found that the electrician had re-arranged breakers in the panel supplying the building and had connected the outdoor heat pump to 120v instead of 240v. He had interpenetrated the connection at the unit that has marked 2(N) as being a neutral connection. I explained that on 120v systems, that is neutral, but on a 240v system, it's L2. The outdoor board was flashing 5 times after the power was turned on for 3 minutes. Voltage at "S" was 38.4v, with this condition and the indoor units lights (all) were flashing every second and beeping as well.
It's running fine now that we are connected to the proper voltage.

Motor running but fan stops

It sounds like the internal overload on the fan motor is being tripped by a buildup of heat in the motor I would recommend that you clean the the coils on the unit and oil the fan motor by removing the oil plugs along the perimeter of each end of the motor (if its a serviceable motor).
P.S. If you spray of the inside of the unit be sure its disconnected form power of course, but also take care to not get water in the blower motor and if theres a chance you have allow time for it to dry before you attempt to start the unit. GL, hope this was useful.
