My daughter just moved into a new house that has an older Jenn Air E33658 electric glass top range that I believe is downdraft and has a convection oven. I can not figure out how to run the self clean oven and would like to get an owners operating manual

Hello. I can assist you. The model you have is indeed an older model and the manual is not available through the normal internet channels. However, contacting Jenn Air directly should allow you to get the manual you need at no cost. Here is the contact information: http://www.jennair.com/flash.cmd?/#/page/contactus/
Just go to that address and you will have Jenn Air phone numbers, email, fax info and mailing address. This is an excellent company and they will help you get the manual you need.
That said, the self clean oven will come on when you set both the starting time and the ending time on the range. If it has a manual lock on the oven door, lock it first, if it has no lock the door will lock and unlock automatically. Generally setting it to clean for three hours is a good clean.
