The picture is cutting off at the top.

The picture is cutting off at the top. When watching a football game I cannot see the scoreboard or time. It happens on other channels as well and is progressively getting worse.

You have a vertical deflection problem, usually bad capacitor in that circuit , if you have some knowledge of electronics you may want to look for 100 to 220mfds/35v capacitor around the vertical output i.c.otherwise you`ll need the help from a tv repairman
