Unable to locate manual to reprogram keyless entry pads
I recently bought a house and I am unable to locate the manual with instructions to reprogram the keyless entry pads on the exterior. I have a 3-car garage with 2 openers, and 2 keyless entry pads, both the same model.

I do not believe you will be able to reprogram the lock without the programming code, usually found on the sticker (unreadable, in your case). Therefore, I urge you to call Schlage directly-they may be able to help you. here is the contact information: United States Customer Support Warranty & Technical Information: 1.888.805.9837
You are right about the support link going 404-It used to work. Get there by going to:Schlage.com and clicking on "For your home" Mouse over the "Service & Support" link, then go down & left click on "Instruction & Manuals". There ya go!
If the following instructions don't work and you have a good battery the keypad has failed.
Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter.
the ecu is located behind the dash you halft to take the front part of your dash off to get to it your best bet is to take it to ford and let them hook up the comp and reprogram it saves a lot of time and head ache
On the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go you will find the smart/learn button. Press and immediately release this and then walk over to your keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and press enter.
Enter the five digit permanent entry code into keyless entry keypad.
Within five seconds of pressing last button of permanent code, press the 1/2 button within five seconds of pressing the last button of the permanent code. (Factory code found on the module).
Enter any alternate five digit code within five seconds of pressing 1/2 button.
Enter a sixth digit as follows to indicate operator's memory seat setting to be set by alternate code:
9/0-- no memory recall 1/2-- memory seat position 1 314-- memory seat position 2 5/6-- memory seat position 3
After successful programming, the doors will signal by locking and then unlocking.
The Keyless Entry Module is located inside the drivers side door.
The code is on the fuse box under the dash near the hood release. On my van there are two bar codes on a sticker attached to the fuse box. Under the first bar code, on the right side is the 5 digit code (bring your glasses the numbers are really small). After you get this code, just search the internet and there are plenty of forums on programing the keyless remote and also adding your own unique number to the key pad entry.
Up under the dashboard to the left of the steering column is the anti-theft module. It is a square box about 4"X4" and should be tan in color. On the cover, there is a sticker with a 5 digit code. This is the keypad code.
