Error 928 is generated by the "Engine" board that controls all of the motors, clutches and sensors in the printer. It indicates a Fuser lock motor error usually caused by the Fuser or Fuser motor not rotating. First step is to remove and inspect the fuser. This is at the rear of the printer, has a blue lock lever on both sides and lifts out. Any damage to the rollers can cause it to jam or if there is a sheet of paper wrapped around a roller. be careful when removing a fuser as these can be extremely hot, follow the instructions in the documentation that came with your printer to remove the Fuser.

What does "100 %" stacked mean?

it means that the printing order for the memory for the printer is full
go to control panel , go to printers and hardware , click on printer right click and it will show a section see what is printing
high light each line and delete that takes away the priority of the stack until there is nothing left to print and the printer should again print at the next selection you make
How the program works is this
there is a small memory in the printer and a large one in the pc
when you have data that is to be printed, the pc sends the data until the printer memory is full at which stage the printer starts to print. new data is sent as memory space becomes available until the document is printed
when different data is requested to be printed or there is a hiccup in the process the pc looses the priority in the print list ( page number or new document)and so backs up that memory and becomes blocked
by going into the pc in the printer hard ware and deleting the printing waiting to be processed your are unblocking the process and allowing the pc to again move data to be printed

Where do I learn how to use my office documents, and then email them out?

Microsoft Office allows you to send documents by email. In newer versions of Word, click the round icon in the upper left corner. Click Send, then select how you want to send the document.

My machine will send but not receive faxes

Faxes machines are capable sending and receiving data documents. First the sender sends to another machine details providing the return addresses. Requetsing the receive to reply the to the fax also requires providing fax numbers.

'check paper size' error has come up and nothing can now be printed. If turned off and on the last print which had caused the error prints out then the error message appears again. How can i clear this

This is usually caused by data within the print job. Microsoft Office sends paper size and job data with each job. Clear all print jobs in the computer sending the job.(Start/Printers/double click the canon printer and delete all jobs in the print que. Clear the Canon by off/on. Open a program and print a standard letter size document to test. This can be corrected by going to the page/document setup choices under "File" or the Ball in MS Office. Usually this is set to A4 or Bypass by mistake within the application.

Printer goes offline but is pingable on Network

I would see what kind of data is being sent to the printer. If the spooler is trying to send some data to the printer that is outside of its limits, even a page break missing, it will do this. Also see how much data it is trying to send to the printer. If it overwhelms the printer, it will just give up until the spooler stops sending requests.

The printer prints a blank page with a line of gibberish in the upper left corner before it prints the real page.

Can you send me a "print to file" of the failing document.

At first blush it can be either of two things.

1) The preceding print job did not properly clean out the printer's memory.

2) The new print job, has data or a busted escape command in it that is being treated as printable data.

Send the print file to [email protected] and I'll read through the document header to see what's going on.

GET "NO DIAL TONE" ERROR.

I must tell you that this is not a printer issue, since printer does not have inbuilt fax capabilities....Actually you are trying to send fax from the computer using a Data Fax Modem. Printer just used for scanning and printing documents for fax...

1. Please check if your computer have Fax modem.
Look at the back of the system tower, if you see a phone jack port (probably two of them).

2. If yes then , you need to have a telephone cable directly from wall (not the ethernet cable coming from DSL modem), fax works on analog signals which is possible only from telehone line.

If your phone line is working, there is no chance the it will give you error again for NO Dial tone
