Using XP, my HP Deskjet 5550 printer allowed me to set margins of 0.5 inches and the document printed correctly. With my new Vista 64-bit OS, I get a message that the margins are outside the printable area of the page. If I ignore the warning and print the document, the type at the 0.5 margins does not print. If I "fix" the problem, I am stuck with a 0.6 bottom margin, and my text reflows. Is there a solution, other than buying a new printer?
Try when the message comes up click on print anyway. I have to do this with my printer sometimes and when I click print anyway and do not try to correct it prints fine.

I changed by ink cartridge and when I tried to print nothing would happen. I got the message "door open". I closed the lid. I also checked the back of the printer for a paper jam and closed that door, also.
