I have just cleaned out the cyclone of my DC08 animal motorhead, it was plugged with hair and fluff in the tubes, it is now spotlessly clean and clear of any debris. I have cleaned the washable filter and replaced the other one with a new filter. I have purchased a new motorhead as the old one was worn out, I have checked everywhere I can see for blockages. My dyson seems to now have powerful suction, and indeed is picking up well from all my fitted carpets, but, when going over my short haired chinese rugs, the motorhead brush bar just stops going round. I have the feeling that there is something obvious I am missing here. I have had this machine for two years, it was a good second hand model, however I never did have the instruction manual. Can anyone suggest why it wont vacuum my rugs when it does such a good job on the fitted carpets? Thanks
