Emonster 600 won't boot up

posted by Duane999 on Jan 03, 2008

My emonster 600 was working fine, I turned on the PC and the light keep blinking fast and no signal to the monitor. The cooling fans are running but it appears nothing else is. I unplugged the machine waited and plugged it back into the outlet, it immediately started the same thing without touching the power button. I tested the PSU, I had 10.5 volts on the 12 volt side and 3.7 on the 5 volt side. Do I need a new power supply or should I try resetting the CMOS? Thanks for any help.

Remove the ram and reinstall it.

If you know how to remove and install the processor, just get a processor like your from somebody and check it on your board.

Sometimes when your processors are bad the system will not powerup, even the power led will not burn, only the HDD led keeps blinking, you will not hear any ram beep sounds.

POST me back with your results.

If your system power up with the new processor then you may have to replace your processor.

I had the same issue on the same computer model. Turns out the PSU was dead. I just switched it with another PSU and it was working again!
