Adjusting the mode hand of Citizen EcoDrive

How can I adjust the mode hand to point to the correct mode? The mode hand does not point to the mode that the watch is actually in. It's off by two "modes."

You can't adjust the mode hand. You will need to return it to Citizen for repair.

This sounds like it has been serviced and the hand was not installed in the correct position. It's an easy mistake to make.

You would need to have the hand removed and reset.

Hope this helps.

The jumping second had is a typical method of telling the user that the battery needs replacing, which would also explain why the hands have stopped.

How do you set time on the Armitron Women's Sport Large Digital Pink Resin Strap Watch #456963PNK+

Here is what I found....

Hi, I have a 40/6753 and here is what I found to set the watch
................Adj......................Start/Stop

...............Mode
.............................EL
Press and Hold down the MODE button until the display starts to flash that you are Adjusting the alarm. If you need to adjust the alarm here ya go :)
Press the mode button again and it switches from adjusting the ALARM to adjusting the TIME.
At this point the display will be flashing the seconds. Press the ADJ button and it will switch to Adjusting the Minutes. Press the AdJ button to advance the minutes.
Pressing the Start/Stop will switch to Adjusting the Hour. Again pressing the ADJ button will advance the Hour until you get to the correct one.
Once correct press the Start/Stop to switch to Adjusting the DATE. Press the ADJ to advance Month and Day.
Pressing the Start/Stop will finally switch to Adjusting the DAY OF THE WEEK. (little circle to the left hand side). Again, pressing the ADJ will advance the Day until correct.
This took me an hour just pressing buttons until I could figure this out. I hope this helps everyone.

Cant se time Citizen 8988-q02047 HSB wristwatch

In the time mode, press the upper right button for 2 seconds and the time display will flash. Then press the same button untill the entire time will flash, or both hour and minutes flash at same time. When the hour and minutes flash at same time, this adjust mode is the adjusting of the analog left display (A1). Now, press the lower button for adjusting de hour shown at the digital display that shows the same hour at analog display. This method is to adjusting the 8982 that is the "father" of 8988. Like a Citizen collector, and don´t know any website that you can view the setting instruction of 8988, only the 8982 is disposable here: http://www.citizenwatch.com/downloads/techguides/8982.pdf

A correction from the last post, you don't need to do All RESET. Read the section right below that. You put the needle on CHR, pull out the dial and set calibrate the hands without resetting the whole thing.
