I too experienced the same prolem of my monitor flashing between orange and blue but the monitor will not come on. fortunately, I sent my monitor in because it was under warranty. They servicing company did indicate that a part was replace. Although, no specific part was named. I received it back from the Hyundai servicing vendor in in Illinois in less than 2 weeks.

Have the same problem. It started during a thunder storm. The house lights were blinking but we did not lose power. I was looking for some online documentation when I found this forum.I was wondering if this thing had some type of fuse in it.

I had this exact problem as well. It just started randomly one day but
fortunately was a week within warranty. Apparently just needed a part
replacing, although it took the repair company 2 months to send back
without the power cables I mailed.

I had the same problem, switched out video cards and still no dice.
I bought a new monitor, plugged it in with all the same connectors as the Hyundai and it worked.
If you are getting this flashing between orange and blue, trust me, it's dead.
I tried everything.
Unless you are under warranty get a new monitor.

I just got one of these for few bucks and it has the same problem. The switching FETs in backlight circuitry are dead, actually half of them are dead, and you can't find the exact part for them, no from retail stores. I don't know if I can replace them with other replacement part or not. The other way I can think of is to reuse half of the parts and replace and other half (I mean reuse half of each chip). I have not decided what I'm going to do yet.

Monitor will not stay on

Generally Monitors have a single light in fron pannel, with dual mode colors as Green and Orange.

Green: Everything is OK .
Orange: Everything is OK, except it is not getting
any signals from computer or other source.

Try with any other monitor with your CPU, it may happen that CPU actually not providing any signal to Monitor. Try checking the "NUM LOCK" button on and off, whether it makes the light on keyboard to flash on or off.
If NUM LOCK is woking OK, there is surely some problme with your monitor and you need to get is checked physically with an engineer.

Blue tint

Check the pins on the end of your vga cable from the monitor to make sure that the pins aren't bent.

If they are not bent then it could be a problem with the monitor itself. Try resetting the defaults on the monitor itself and see if the problem goes away if it does then your set.

If the problem still exists then try a different known good working monitor on the computer. If you still get the same problem then its a problem with the video card. If the problem goes away then you know its a problem with the monitor and would need to be replaced.
