Question about JVC Car Audio & Video

Error Code OOOSIA?

I have bought a car off a mate and included was a JVC KD-PDR51 Head Unit. After changing the battery I now have the problem where it will only work in demo mode and the display will keep flashing with "OOOSIA". The mate I bought the car off is now on holiday for a couple of weeks and as he has all the documentation for the unit & fitting (it was only put in 3 weeks ago), I cant take it back to halfords myself. Is there a way to override this on the unit manually?
thanks.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Jvc kd-bt11 will not turn on

Its is definitely the extra wire, i had this problem and took it to a shop the power wire has to be ran from the battery with a fuse in between them, you can find a live wire in the dash and splice and put a fuse between them, if you dont feel confident, i would take it to a local shop i did the same thing and they installed for 40$ but i had all of the hardware and the radio was already in the dash just needed power

Try connecting the yellow wire to a constant power source. That is, a source that still has power when the key is turned off. The yellow wire controls the memory of the radio.

JVC Daisy Chain

If your autochanger has an input as well as an output connector it will be possible. The iPod adapter would have to be plugged into the changer's input, and the changer's output cable would run to the KD-G421.

This manual here from JVC shows a diagram on the middle of page 1 where an i-Pod adapter (I'm assuming you have the KS-PD100) is connected daisy-chained with an XM tuner or a DLP unit. Although it doesn't explicitly say that it would work with a CD changer, I don't think it'll be a problem as long as you have an input on the changer.
