All ports busy

When there isn't an available line, you will get an "all ports busy" on the display of the phone. This can mean a few things. It can mean that your line cards (analog or digital) are not being seen by the NCP (Network Call Processor), all lines are busy or your T1/PRI circuit is down. If the cards are "Unknown" you can reboot the system (through the browser) and try again after about 5 minutes. The line cards are hot swappable and can be loosened, pulled out an inch or so and then pushed back in. Do not try this with the Call Processor though! It is NOT hot swappable!

Ive had this modem for a while now. all of the sudden some lights start blinking and sometimes they dont blink at all and thats when i lose connectivity to my internet. ive try resetting it back to default...

Sounds like the signal level drops too much.
Connect the modem in the first cable from outside (without splitters).
Check the fitting (must be clean and shine, the copper wire).

You could have too much drops with your cable installation. You need to put an amplifier.
Or try to eliminate some splitters and renew the fittings.

Good luck.

3COM NBX V3000 Ghost Ringing

This sounds like you have a phantom user as a member of your incoming hunt group. Meaning you have a user extesion without a phone associated to it (just a mailbox). Check your hunt groups and make sure there aren't any phantom users in them. If so, remove them and this will stop happening.

I had been using dial-up internet and then switched over to broadband internat. Now since I have disconnected the broadband net, I want to use the dial-up modem. However, I am gtg a note that the device...

It's kind of difficult to tell what your exact problem may be, but note that the cable and connections for dial-up and broadband are different.

The dial-up cable is telephone wire connected to its port in an internal modem. Broadband is connected with thicker Ethernet cable connected to a network card.

The ports look similar, but the Ethernet port is a bit larger.

So, you need to connect to the right port/card with the right cable.

When you connect to dial-up, you should hear a beep-beep-beep sound from the modem.

Hope this info helps.

Cant do anything

Since you don't have sound on the computer, its possible the drivers are missing for sound, and possibly for other things also, you may be missing your network card drivers, or wireless drivers and so your unable to open up the router page.

Note that your network cards ipaddress needs to be changed to the right range for the page to open.

if your router / modem manual says the default ip is then you will need to set your computers ip to the same range, / for example.

instructions on how to set your ip are here

ones you have been in the modem, remember to restore the ip to automatic so you have internet access when it works again.

Note that if your just missing the drivers, after installing the drivers your internet should work automatically without looking inside the modem.

Dynex m300 modem problems on xp

rich, Below is the link for the newset drivers for you modem. Make sure your machine is up to date with microsoft. Have you checked for viruses and spyware? Is the machine running hot? It is sounding flakey(like a bad unit). You should not have to do a system restore because of a modem unless it just really "hosed" your system and if that was the case, then that would be the last time I would use that modem. Let me know what happens Good Luck, Tim
