Question about Konica Minolta bizhub C250 All-In-One Laser Printer

Color background, and then C255X error code (x depends of the color imaging unit)

After print, copy shows a Color background, and then, after hundreds of copies, display shows C255X error codes ( x depends of the color of imagine unit )

Some Imagine unit changed, repeat error code. Can you help me?

    a short story:

    - Color background with perfect text copy is printed.

    According to Technical Support of KM, there is some trouble with flat-cable in main PCB right-down corner. If this cable is removed and installed again, 50 % of troubles are fixed.

    - (Meanwhile trouble is not detected, the toner cartridge corresponding to background color, goes wearing out).

    - When the technician intervenes the flat-cable, in the other 50 % of the cases, the codes C255X appear.

    - Some machines, are repaired changing the color's IU.

    - In the rest of the cases, the error code continues appearing.

    May be that trouble disappears, changing main board. I'm waiting for a new one, but i'm going to received it in 2 weeks.

    You have some other advice that can help me?

Those codes are related to an abnormal toner to carrier ratio. If you are getting multiple errors that could be a control board failure. I will consult Konica Minolta Solutions and post futher as the information becomes available.

Color printing is printed with a yellow background in bizhub c450

have you replace the Transfer belt.??? It also has a transfer roller for yellow. (Called First Transfer) since it is transferring yellow off the drum. You have replaced the yellow image unit???? 2nd transfer is to the paper!!!

Black smudge when printing color

Imaging unit is the problem. It's made for 100k but often there is a problem very soon after replacing. There is a belt in this unit and he has a lenght enough for two pages A4. Thats why you have problem on every second page. Try to reassembled it and see what is wrong inside ot imaging unit.
If you ask new mashine. This one have a hundreds of problems by default.

C-255A (C255A), C-255B (C255B), C-2559 (C2559) or C-255C (C255C) at power up.
C-255x code at power up.
CAUSE: The K (black) IU (C-255C) has failed. The M (Magenta) IU (C-255A), Y (Yellow) IU (C-255B) or C (Cyan) IU (C-2559) is not fully seated or has failed.

SOLUTION: Replace the K (black) IU (Item #A0DE02F for the bizhub C203/C253 and Item #A0DE03F for the bizhub C353). Reseat the color IU and if the problem persists, replace it. Item # Color IU Model

Black image streaks on sharp 2700n

You only have to make single color copies with each color CMYK
and check all the copies if only the black and white copies is smeary
then replace only the black the drum unit.

Phaser 7300 dn prints full yellow color background on every page even if the background copy shows no color.

Most likely the yellow drum unit is causing that problem. The charge roller gets worn and makes whatever color it is in print out all the time. That would require replacing the yellow imaging unit.

Copies and prints in color are black procesed, but in black are ok

Using CMY Color produces a Processed Black.
Using only K will produce a Black.
In the print driver on a PC change your default setting to Black, from the machine you can set it to use only black as well.
That Patch is on the transfer belt. which it will alwyas do, that is what color machines do.

Install the print driver twice and set one driver s Color Mode to color and one to greyscale. This setting can be accessed by right clicking on the print driver and selecting Printing Preferences, click on the Color tab and set the Color Mode appropriately.

COF37 error code

C0F37: Abnormally high toner density detected by Black ATDC Sensor
Toner density that is 4 % or more higher than the target level is detected ten consecutive times during a print1.gif cycle, ATVC, or image stabilization sequence.

The sensor for this error is in the black imaging unit not the toner hopper. See the steps below. If that doesn't work then visit my website1.gif for contact and I will sell you a full service and or parts manual on CD.

Clean or correct.

Background Color

1) In the Applications Menu on your copy screen there should be a option to turn on or off a background color fill. Turn it off and try. If it still comes out try hitting panel reset. If this doesnt work. 2) You have a bad Image Unit. Change the yellow image unit. 3) You may also have a bad write unit. Pull out the four write units and check the yellow write unit. It may have gone bad in which case it needs to be replaced.
