right hand side of page gets creased and torn. I found the grey cover on the roller torn and shifted to lefthand side. I tried to shift if back but no help. Not worth fixing. I'll try a cannon this time.

Thanks a lot for the reply, though you are 8 months late. If it was under warranty, I surely would not post anything in here. I could directily contact my vendor. If it was easy for me to contact you, I would have done that other than posting a message. If I was supposed to wait till 8 months, I should have posted this message as I did. I bought a taffron or something as they call it and installed by myself, and now it is running smoothly. Are you here to help or here to get customers?

Print error 6A81 how can i find out wot to do

You did not say what type of printer it is, or if you have checked for a piece of paper stuck somewhere in the printer.

Example of possible solution:

https://www.inkredible.co.uk/canon-error-code-6a81-fixed

https://www.inkredible.co.uk/canon-error-code-6a81-fixed

Quoting from web page shown, photo not included in quote:

"Canon Error Code 6A81 - Fixed! We recently came across error code 6A81 on our Canon Pixma MG5250 Printer (using PGI-525/CLI-526 range cartridges). The error could also occur on other printers in this range.
The error code is basically caused by an obstruction within the printer, usually a paper jam but could be any foreign body that has found its way into the printer (those with young children will understand!). The obstruction stops the carriage and print head from moving into the correct position when powering up the printer. The print head should come to rest at the right hand side of the carriage and position itself over the waste ink sponges. If the print head is unable to do so, it returns the '6A81' error message.
You can see from the picture, the position of the two waste ink sponges towards the right hand side. The sponges are spring loaded and move backwards and forwards when the printer initialisation occurs upon start up.
The problem in our case was caused by two pieces of torn paper. One at the far right of the printer which was simple to remove, but the other was stuck in a small opening behind the spring mechanism for the waste ink sponges. This was preventing the sponges from being moved freely and seated correctly, which in turn meant that the print head was unable to pass over them and come to rest in the correct position.
To remove the torn paper we turned off the power to the printer (to prevent any damage to the carriage mechanism) and used a pair of tweezers to carefully pull the offending article through the small gap. We missed this hidden piece of paper the first time we checked for obstructions so it's worth shining a torch in and having a good nose around!
Close your printer lid, power on the printer and et voila... Canon error code 6A81 is no more!"

Printer head going one side and given beep

IF the jammed paper tears and you cannot remove the paper either from the paper output slot or from the transport unit, or the jammed paper remains inside the machine, remove the paper following the procedure below. 1. Turn off the machine, and unplug the power cord of the machine from the power supply. 2. Open the paper output cover. Remove the paper on the front tray if any.
Important:
Do not touch the clear film (A). If the paper or your hands touch these parts and blot or scratch them, the machine can be damaged.

3. Make sure that the FINE cartridge holder does not hang over the paper. If the FINE cartridge holder hangs over the paper, move the FINE cartridge holder to the right edge or the left edge whichever is easier to remove the paper. When you move the FINE cartridge holder, hold the FINE cartridge holder and slide it slowly to the right edge or the left edge.
4. Hold the jammed paper with your hands.
If the edge of paper is jammed near the paper output slot, pull the edge of paper to the position where you can hold it with your hands.
5. Pull the paper slowly not to tear it, then pull the paper out.

6. Make sure that all the jammed paper is removed. If the paper is torn, a piece of paper may remain inside the machine. Check the following and remove the piece of paper if it remains.
7. Close the paper output cover, then reload the paper.
All print jobs in the queue are canceled. Reprint if necessary.

Service Error 5100 on Canon Pixma MP160. Prints but the paper comes out all ruffled or torn on the edges and the printing is skewed to the right side

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage. Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head. Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

Ive just installed new ink cartridges in my epson stylus nx 115 printer and the print is irregular. It worked fine with the oldink. How do I get itto print properly.

align the heads in the control panel/ printer page for maintaining print cartridges.

You see, everytime you change ink cartridges you must realign them using a printed page that has lines on it, that has numbers that you choose that determines where the edges of the paper is and also helps to calibrate where each color goes relative to each other.

Well, to make a long story short, it's all about lining up different heads with each other.

Most likely the fuser mylar has been torn or is very dirty on the right side. Take the fuser out and visibly inspect for damage. If it is damaged, replace.

Hi when printing black or grey outside edges

sounds like your black toner cartridge is getting low or not filled evenly. To fix this until it get a bit lower on toner just take the cartridge out and holding it up right give it a few shakes side to side. The will spread the toner power out inside and you should be printing normally again.

This can also happen if you moved or bumped the printer. Usually you only see this when the toner is low or after you print a lot of pages. Most text is in the mid of the paper so thats where the toner get s used the most.

CANON ip 4300 - 5100 error & prints skew onto DVD

I had this eror. It was caused by indexing error left to right.Would print some then cancel after starting to make clunking and left to right error gets to large.(white edge up the side of full page print).
There is a toothed print head carriage drive belt and a clear indexing strip above the heavily white greased bar behind print head carriage.
If this clear indexing strip gets grease or anything else on it the print head cannot index.
With print head at full right position, power off, I carefully wiped the clear strip by pinching between clean dry fingers and wiping up and down the strip a few times, maybe use cotton wool buds and IPA or methalated spirit if you can't get your fingers in there without breaking the strip. then with power on print head in change cartridge position, push carriage to far left and wipe right side of clear strip.I pushed carriage full left to right a few times,Then ran print head alignment.Fixed without taking apart.
