i have a toshiba satellite a135 laptop with a pioneer k17 dvd rom. the light for the dvd rom does not come on, i can go to the dvd/cd drive and open it there only. it will play cd's, but not dvds. Is this a mechanical failure? windows vista os and according to device manager it has the proper drivers. please help
