Computer doesn't see the broadcom 57XX adapter 2 yellow lights on the card with network cable plugged in. Wireless 1400 card works fine. What am I missing?

#1 reset BIOS defaults to ensure it is enabled in BIOS #2 reinstall the driver for the NIC
If still not see likely a failure of the controller for the NIC

I have a Dell and net adapters doesnt work

Uninstall and reinstall LAN drivers and Broadcom drivers.
Press Windows key and R key simultaneously to open Run Window.
Type "devmgmt.msc" and click on OK.
This will open Device Manager.
Click on "+" sign next to Network Adapters and right click on the network adapter and select Uninstall.
After uninstalling right click on Network Adapters and select scan for hardware changes.
This will reinstall the drivers.
Sometimes windows prompts you to restart the computer to reinstall the drivers automatically.
You can even reinstall the new LAN and Broadcom drivers from your Dell website provided they have new version of these drivers.
After reinstalling the drivers, check if the adapters work.
If the adapters still don't work, the issue could be with the hardware.
You may even try with recovering your PC using Dell Factory Recovery.
Before performing Recovery, take the backup of your hard disk as the Recovery process will restore your notebook completely to factory settings.

Dell D600 Issue with integrated NIC freezes computer randomly

Are you running any virus programs and firewalls?
If not you should be, and it appears you have some kind of infection and your computer slows down when you are connected to the Internet via the LAN cable.
Run your virus program and scan your computer for infections.

ICMP packets not working on Dell Latitude D620

With vista I had the same problem, but when I enabled network fileshareing and set up some network drives it started to answer on ping requests, so it should be one of the networking protocols to enable.

Broadcom 440x driver won't load

if you are getting a broadcom failure of the motherboard after a chapagne spill on the system, there is a good likelyhood that the controller chip for the motherboard is damaged.

If the system is POSTING and booting normally aside from the Network adapter, I'd try using a PCMCIA or USB NIC to replace the onboard NIC (Disable on-board in BIOS) If the system is manefesting other errors, then a replacement of the motherboard would be warranted

I have a Dell Latitude D610 Notebook PC when I put the internet cable in the back nothing won't happen.

it's likely that you do not have the drivers for the Broadcom nic loaded. Go into device manager and expand the Network adapter section. If you have no entry for the Broadcom or have a red cross against it (disabled) or there is a question mark agaist an unknown device listed under other then there's your problem.

Drivers can be downloaded from the DELL website.

Otherwise it could be the cable you are using or where it's connecting into.

What error code was given when you tried to install the Broadcom 570x. What operating system? (WinXp, Win2000, Vista)? I would go to Dell's website and download the drivers shown there for the Latitude D600.

Ethernet port doesn't recognize internet

ok i have herd of service pack 2 causing these problems, go to dell website , see if there are any service pack 2 fixes to download for your model laptop , or any updated drivers for your laptop , it does almost sound like a Harware problem , but i dont think thats the case , reinstaling xp may be the solution , start from scratch , and take note of what you install , as it maybe be some other software / programs causing this, it's also possible it is spyware or a virus causing this , spware doctor is a good program to use , you can download it for free and do a check , but u will need to buy it to clean the infections, unless u know how to pirate it, which i dont think im allowed to say ,
