I just bought a Memorex MLT1912 19" HDTV ready television (Dec. 2007). I have a standard Basic Cable connection: no Digital Cable and no HD signal. My source is on "TV," my Setup Source is on "CATV." I do the autoset and the only channels I can get through on the set are 5 (CBS) and 6 (CSPAN-2). Everything else is blue screen and "no signal."
I use another slightly older, presumably non-HDTV-ready LCD TV, an RCA L1510, on the same cable signal; along with my internet connection, and they both work prefectly fine. I don't think it's a signal strength issue; because I tried the Memorex with the other two devices disconnected; and I still only got channels 5 and 6.

- Thanks again for your advice, Otacon.Unfortunately, I had already tried this at the same time I tried the preset function. Entered each of the 60-70 channels manually, verified the source (TV) and the signal (CATV), verified that the Skip option was set to off: each time on each channel. Did it again this morning, and it still only gave reception for 5 and 6. Everything else is a blue screen with no signal. So I'm pretty close to returning this thing, unless there are other suggestions.
