Sony Cybershot DSC-W85 problem copying files to mac ibook

The first time i tried to copy photos from my camera to my ibook, my image capture program for downloading files wouldn't start up (it always started up with my canon) and i so i had to use the drag and drop method to copy the files to my desktop. The images copied but the video files wouldn't. The copy box kept saying zero KB out of 13.8 MB completed - under one minute until completed, and yet the progress bar didn't even start progressing. Any ideas?
The software cd that came with the camera isn't compatible with macs.

I cannot connect my Sony Cybershot DSC-P32 camera to my Mac OS X system. It is not plug and play with the USB connector. Is there a driver?

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo management program.

How can i fix date and time stamp on sony cybershot DSC W610 camera so that when i print photo it automatically shows date and time in the image

The DSC-W610 will not deface your photos by scrawling a string of numbers across them. However the date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the camera may require professional repair.
