The mechanical mechanism does not seem to engage the paper in the document feeder. The rollers seem to stay above the paper.

- Thanks for the suggestion; it doesn't even drive one page. The gears on the right seem to chatter; is it possible to take the top shrouds off to look into the drive mechanism

You might have too much paper in it, or something is bliocking it.
