Dear Neil , you can go with the following steps to configure the x-box 360 with netgear dg834g:- 1)First and foremost you should be aware of the wireless settings you have on the router i.e ssid(broadcast name) and the type of security(wep or wpa-psk) and the password for that. 2)On the X-Box get into the setting's menu where you will find and option for wireless set up and then scan for the network , it will automatically scan your ssid , select that and will ask for the password enter that and you will be connected. 3)Go for the connection test if it's successful then play games with it and if not then follow these procedure:- a)Get any computer which has the internet access to it , Open the IE page and in the address bar type http://192.168.0.1 , a small window will prompt up asking for user name and password which is admin and password respectively. b)You will be navigated to router
administrator page , you will have a blue/purple column on the left
hand side which has the different setting options in there. c)Under the title Advanced you will find a subtitle WAN set up left click on that option and the page will appear in the middle of the screen. d)Under WAN set up there is an icon for DMZ server tick that box and then enter the ip address:-192.168.0.20 and left click on apply at the bottom and the page will get refreshed. e)Go back to X-box live and under wireless set up select manual setting's , it will ask to enter the following information:- ssid(broadcast name) security type(wep/wpa-psk) and password to it ip address:-192.168.0.20 subnet mask:-255.255.255.0 default gateway:-192.168.0.1 Primary DNS:-192.168.0.1 Secondary DNS:-leave that blank and apply the setting's f)Go for the connection test and it will have the successfull connection.

I have two routers Netgear DG834Gv3 and Thomson SpeedTouch TG585v7. I want to create a wireless bridge between these two routers, so that I can have internet on the Netgear router. The main router/Access Point is the Thomson SpeedTouch and the repeater/secondary router is the Netgear DG834Gv3. So the Thomson SpeedTouch is the one connected to the phone line and currently has internet. I am with O2 Broadband UK. The Netgear router has the latest firmware. I would be very greateful if anyone could please help me.
