Re: Dryer running to hot

Well it would help to know the brand but one thing to check is, turn timer on to timed cycle and open door, push door switch in and wait to see if heater comes on. If it does replace element. clean your vent and replace thermostat if element is ok.

Kenmore 80 series dryer is making a loud screaching grinding noise what could be the problem

Kenmore (Sears) dryers are usually manufactured by Whirlpool. The rear of the drum rides on 2 lower rubber rollers that go bad with age. Those rollers may need replaced. There is also a felt seal strip attached to the rear of the drum that rides the back wall of the dryer that may need replaced. Can only tell for sure by disassembling the dryer and checking.

Clothes are coming out of the dryer with burn/scorch marks

seems like the airflow might be restricted. youll probably want to start by making sure that the unit itself isnt clogged with lint (unplug it first) and also the duct from the back of the dryer all the way to the vent on the outside of the house. its strange to me that it didnt blow the thermal fuse if its getting hot enough to scorch your clothes, weird...

My dryer is making loud screaching noises. Everytime I turn it on to dry clothes is makes very loud screaching noises.

Sounds like it needs what are called glides or felt. This is what keeps the metal drum from contacting the metal housing. If this is let go too long the drum can be ruined

Need blower wheel replaCDED?

If it was your blower wheel it would not make that noise first cheak and see if thewheel has play on the shaft if so then it will need to be replace second turn blower wheel by hand back and forht if there is a screaching sounds if is a dry bearing on the motor .If so if you can live with the sound it will not go right away if not remove motor and replace. If there is play on the wheel you will need clip pliers and normal pliers and remove both clip[ on shaft and clip on shaft revers after install new blower wheel good luck:)
