Question about Siemens SpeedStream 2624 Router (936-2624-001 kit)
Sometimes the internet service provider (ISP) and type of connection we have to the internet require special configuration items to be changed in a router to work with the internet connection you have. Can you provide in a comment to this issue either your internet service providers name and/or a link to their support website. We should be able to find the requirements there to configure your router to work with your specific connection. ISP's using Cable TV as their connection often have lesser requirements and may work with the router as it arrives out of the box. ISP's using phone lines more often have additional criteria that must be completed before a router will work with their service. This is neither good or bad for either service just a hurdle that must be overcome before it works.
I look forward to the information and assisting you complete the installation. By the way I assume step 1 - 5 is from the router providers setup -- if so it may as indicated above be missing additional items. If you could provide the contents of those steps or a reverence to the document I may be able to download it and know what is in steps 1 - 5.
