Re: trouble shooting my phone

Some phones dont accept the different ringtones we now have. You know how they offer poly and mono? Perhaps you bought a mono ringtone when your phone only use poly or maybe the other way around.

If you bought a ringtone by a tv add, then that may be the case.
If you have internet on the phone, and bought it off there it will depend which phone company you are with. Look up their site etc. , and have a look at their help section.

With vodaphone, I know that once you buy it from the internet on the mobile, you download it autmatically. But you have to save it.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Try putting one of the other phones on the home base. If that doesn't work go to the manufacture's web page and look for trouble shooting and tech support.

I went online and downloaded the manual for this produst and followed all the trouble shooting procedures until one of them was successful. I can only find one ringtone! i'v just bought a bt paragon 550 and i can only find one ring tone' which i hate. i cannot find any other choices

You can use any ringtone you like, but you must use the same format as the phone uses. You can change the ringtone to the format you need with your computer's save feature. Go to iTunes and select a tune you like, download it.

How do I save ringtones to my ZTE C78 phone?

Go to the website and you can download ringtones. the trick is to download the ringtone twice. it will save to your phone. the only drawback is that you can't hear the ringtone before you download it, but you can always try again. this is a free ringtone site.

Change ringtone

With the handset on the hook press the conf button (the one with three phones on it).

The phone should ring with your current ringtone. Each press of the conf button will advance to the next tone.

pick up the handset and put it down again to select the ringtone.

I think there are 8 to choose from.

I was using this site while trouble shooting this in the US...
If the customer has DSL with filters in the same system go back to the NID and Isolate the DSL,
test the caller id and call waiting caller id. If this works you have Data Bleed coming from the DSL.
Make sure there are not two sets of filters on the line. Tjis customer had a filter with the DSL modem.

Doing this we just fixed an on going problem for a field tech who was the second callout on a customer issue.
