Hi there, my machine is about 6 years old-I have never had a problem until recently my clothes were coming out of the machimne with scum on them. I got soda crystals and put the machine on a 90 wash which seemed to solve the problem with the scum but now when you open the door of the machine it stinks-like rotten eggs-HELP!!

I read about liquid detergents and fabric softners not being the best to use in the machine so I used powder for the first time the other evening and the smell seemed to ease a good bit. its not gone fully but I will continue with the powder and see how I get on.
