Re: Why does this toaster oven cord gets hot? Is it safe?

I would make sure the cord doesn't get too close to the back of the oven. Make sure it has room between the oven and wall and isn't trapped under it or direct heat.

I had my cord get squeezed between the machine and the wall and my cord melted.

Delonghi xr640 toasting-finished chime not working

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

f the oven doesn't work at all, make sure the circuit breaker or fuse is on at the electrical service panel and test the electrical cord . If the oven doesn't work on its toaster and oven functions, test the main switch . As needed, check the fuse .
If the toaster function doesn't turn off unless the door is open, test the solenoid, the switch and if necessary, the thermostast.

Location of the typical toaster oven's thermal fuse.
If the toaster oven stays on when the door is opened, check the main switch . If the oven doesn't heat, test the heating elements.

What is the clearance required for a toaster oven. On all four sides please.

A random toaster oven user guide I found online, recommends 2 inches clearance at back and sides, 4 inches at top, and more if the surfaces are covered with vinyl or paint because the heat could discolor them. YMMV. Not knowing the specific model of toaster oven, I'd double those measurements just to be safe.

Krups FBC2 Convection Toaster Oven Simply no power at all.

Having a toaster oven and a coffee maker on the same circuit is asking the breaker to trip in the house electrical panel, but I guess that you have learned the drill: only one appliance on at a time. Try moving the oven to the working side of the socket (the two socket sections can be spit apart and power each half from a separate house breaker and wiring). If the oven now works, check for a tripped breaker in the house panel. If the oven still doesn't work, look for a reset button near the cord entry point. Many heating type appliances have a thermal fuse that opens when things get too hot, but you need to get inside the cover where the cord enters.

YES YOU ARE your trying to bake something in a toaster oven :) toaster ovens have two modes toast /bake in this mode top and bottom elements get hot .and broil in this mode only the top elements get hot . the problem is the marketing the word OVEN makes you think of a normal oven that the bottom elements do all the work . toaster ovens work well melting stuff and toasting . thats about it . if you must bake in it try placeing a sheet of foil on top of your baked goods it might insulate the top of you food . good luck ... if this answer helped please rate it a 3 or 4 stars , this high rateing will help keep me in the paid answer department , thank you

You hve to physically take bulb out through side without electronic panel wire is connected on panel sid with actual plug. but ended up cutting wire other side. Bulb is not like regular bulb you will have to hard wire one side of it. bulb is unseperable from wire. Still looking for replacement bulb. I sure miss my toaster I believe it will probably be chaper for me to buy new toaster vs replace bulb. The bulb is nothing like I have seen before.
