I just changed my XL2400 porjection lamp a week ago, now all of a sudden, the ii light flashes red and the picture goes out, It was working for one week fine, I tried takingb the bulb in and out and letting it sit for an hour, still doesnt work, I am very upset.

If you paid a low price like $20 to $60 for the lamp it may not be an original replacement and may have failed.
But another thing it could be is to check the lamp cooling fan(s) where you might have to take some of the TV apart to do it.
If they have lots of caked on dust it would kill a lamp due
to inefficient cooling.
I am having the same problem as mg2low. I changed the lamp, but my Sony KF60WE610 still will not turn on. It flashes green several times then it begins to flash red. Can you recommend some trouble-shooting for me? Thanks, Richard
When was the projection lamp last change?If the tv,projection lamp inside the tv at last change was 1/ 1/2 or 2 years ago,and the tv is on,an in use at lest 4 or 5 hours day.The projection lamp life,it over should be change the projection lamp.Now tv turn on LED light "LAMP" indication light up or flashes?Yes,the projection is dead,hear alot of clicking too?The Ballast board it also dead,should be change too.The Ballast board,this board job,it help to ignite the projection lamp.
MY philips tv model number 55PL9773/17 WAS TURNING OFF THE SCREEN AND LEAVING THE AUDIO ON FOR ONE MINUTE. THEN THE YELLOW LIGHT STAYED ON. THEN THE LIGHT TURNED OFF. thEN I TURNED ON WITH THE REMOTE AND THE YELLOW LIGHT TURNED ON AND A FEW SECONDS LATER CHANGED TO THE GREEN LIGHT AND THE TV TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BETWEEN 10 AND 30 IT DID THE SAME THING. NOW IT IS OFF WITH A BLINKING RED LIGHT PERMANENTLY ON. TO TURN IT OFF I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL. I REPLACE THE LAMP A FEW WEEKS AGO AND IT IS FINE.
If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.
Check if something is preventing the flash to pop up 'fully'. Check for some dust or other particles trapped between the flash and the body. Does the screen say 'Subject is too dark'? If so, the flash has not popped up fully.
