Motherboard gets power but get no vga signal to screen and can not open cmos when powering up what can I do?

1) Check the monitor cable.
Really. Check it on another known to be working computer, or use the monitor cable from working computer.

2) FOLLOWING Anti-Static Precautions, disconnect everything from the motherboard, EXCEPT the Processor, Heatsink, Fan power; and Ram Memory.

Following Anti-Static Precautions, one of which is unplugging the computer from power.

Press the Power On button in, and hold for a count of 10 seconds.
Let go. Do this procedure 2 more times.

This clears CMOS Error Codes, and resets BIOS Setup back to the factory default settings.

Now plug back into power, WAIT 1 minute; then turn the computer on.

With just the Processor, Heatsink, Fan connected to power; plus the Ram Memory installed, (Make sure they/it are seated well), you should get the BIOS Setup screen.

No?
Then suggest you have a bad motherboard.

IF, the previous owner, or owners before; did NOT follow Anti-Static Precautions, you might as well use the motherboard for a Frisbee.

("Wow! L@@K at that thing GO! Look out dog!")

Although there are Solid Polymer Capacitors used, (Look around the Processor socket), there are also Electrolytic Capacitors used.
(Radial Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors)

What shape are they in?

Packard bell tj65 screen problem

Try connecting a standard PC monitor to the laptop via the VGA port. Do you still get the same problems on the external screen? If so, there is a motherboard fault relating to the Video output. If your laptop uses the NVidia chipset, this is probably the fault as some older laptops did suffer from this.
If you dont get the fault then its probably one of these:
1) Screen issue
2) The Screen cable that allows the video data to go from the motherboard to the screen

Hope this helps

Packard bell imedia d3318 no vga signal

It is the video graphics card, or the motherboard, but you can sub out the ram memory one at a time as you test. It might be a bad stick of ram which would rule out the above mentioned

Trying to find interal connectors 2-1 pin audio spdif on a emachine 1831-05. motherboard is mcp73vt-pm

It has been stated from my sources, that the ECS GF7050VT-M5 mobo, is the same as the ECS MCP73VT-PM, with a slight difference.

The difference being that the MCP73VT-PM mobo is based on the Micro-ATX form factor, and the GF7050VT-M5 is based on the ATX form factor.

[ Micro-ATX form factor size is 9.6 inches by 9.6 inches. 9.6 inches is approximately 9 and 9/16ths inches. It's also 244mm by 244mm.
ATX form factor is 12 inches by 9.6 inches. 305mm by 244mm ]

ECS MCP73VT-PM,

ECS GF7050VT-M5,

To the right of the subheading - Download, left-click on the server location nearest you.
[Taiwan, USA, Europe, China ]

This is a PDF file download. (Motherboard Manual) May take a few seconds before you see the first page, and additional time for the file to fully download.
Suggest you let the file download all the way, before looking through it.

I'm also looking at an ECS MCP73VT-PM on Ebay, as well as the PDF motherboard manual for the ECS GF7050VT-M5.

Motherboard oriented so that the Processor is to the top, ram memory slots to the right, and the orange PCI Express x16 slot to the bottom, the SP/DIF header on the GF7050VT-M5 is located to the left of the PCI Express slot.

From the poor view on the Ebay link, the MCP73VT-PM also seems to have the SP/DIF header in the same location, but clocked differently.

The header is clocked perpendicular to the orange PCI Express x16 slot, while on the GF7050VT-M5 the SP/DIF header is parallel to the PCI Express x16 slot.

The header is 4 pins long, with 1 pin not installed.
Pin 1 is marked on the motherboard.

Pin 1 is SP/DIF Digital Output
Pin 2 is +5VA ( 5 Volt analog power)
Pin 4 is Ground

There is no Pin 3.
