Question about Adobe Photoshop 7.0 for PC

2 Answers

Graphics Card I'm trying to install and play Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (PC CD-ROM Software) on my IBM desktop computer, but it tells me I need a graphics card that has the capability to do pixel shading. I purchased the NVIDIA GeFORCE FX5200, but I am having trouble getting my monitor to recognize the new graphics. Is it possible that my monitor cannot support the new graphics? How can I check? Thanks! Brian Kaye

Re: Graphics Card

You can go to the manufactorers website and find the spec that way or the graphic cards installation software should have a utility software program in it that will help..good luck

My game 'Ferrari Virtual Race' has not been started and it says "Graphic adapter does not support the minimum requirement"

Sounds like you need a graphics card upgrade. If you are using a desktop then this is pretty simple. If you have a notebook, it is probably not possible.

To be honest, if your card is not up to it, your PC might not be up to a new graphics card. It might be the case that you have a pretty new machine but it just came with a poor graphics card in which case you can buy a new one and install it.

Go to a PC store and tell them together with the the details of your computer. They will be able to tell you if it can take a new card or not, and probably be able to install it for you.

I put in the cd and the game starts, and when I click install, an error follows up that states C:\WIDNOWS\Michrosoft.NET\Framework\V2.0.50727\mscwks.dll.

Hi, it seems like a Net.Framework dll is either corrupted or missing. Your best chance to fix this problem, is updating to the latest version of Net.Framework which you can find here: . Hope it helped, Franz

Ive got the game in the star wars best of pc. I've already installed it on another computer and it works fine. but on my laptop it just crashes. it loads fine but when it gets to the start new campaign it...

You laptop may need a upgrade and may not have the recommended hardware, space e.t.c. look on the back of the game box and see if your laptop meets the requirements, if not then you will need to upgrade that part in order to get the game to work.

I got a Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard CD and trying to

check the CD for defects, or dust, there are commercially available kits for repairing scratched, or damaged disks, as long as the " silver " looking portion of the disk is intact.

You may be able to download the software directly from Adobe and install it using your installation code.

My cmputer donot play dvd

Windows XP does not play DVD's by itself you need

1) a DVD ROM (or RW) drive, and
2) DVD playing software.

Usually the Drive, or your PC will come with something like PowerDVD or some program like that.

Windows Vista and newer will play DVD's natively.

First of all, you should not even mention that is a cracked version, I will fake I did not hear that. I am sure you installed the pirate version only to test it on your computer, and you will buy the original if this works.

Regarding the games here are the specification:

Minimum System Requirements:
You must have these minimum system specifications for the game to function correctly. We do not provide support for configurations that do not meet the minimum requirements.
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows® 2000/XP (Windows 95/98/ME/NT Not Supported)
  • CPU: Pentium 4 1.5Ghz or Athlon XP Equivalent
  • RAM: 512MB
  • Graphics: 100% DirectX 9.0c compatible video card which supports Hardware TnL and Pixel Shader 2.0 (GeForce FX / Radeon 9500 or higher)
  • Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card
  • DVD-Rom: Quad-speed (4x) Dvd-Rom Drive
  • Hard Drive: 5.0GB free disk space
  • Input Devices: 100% Windows 2000/XP compatible Mouse and Keyboard (Gamepads and controller are not supported)
Recommended System requirements:
  • CPU: Pentium 4 2.4Ghz or Athlon XP/64-bit equivalent
  • RAM: 1024MB
  • Graphics: ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series or higher video card
  • Sound: 100% DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card, Sound Blaster X-Fi series
  • DVD-Rom: Eight-speed (8x) DVD-Rom drive or faster
  • Hard Drive: 5.0GB free disk space
This game requires a CPU of at least 2.4 Ghz and a powerful video card, such as
ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series or higher.

You also need
DirectX 9.0c installed, that may be the reason why it does not start.
Try downloading
DirectX 9.0c here, if it does not work, then, providing that CPU is good enough, you will need to upgrade video adapter or get a new computer.

Download from here and install:
Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime
Download details: DirectX 9.0c Redistributable for Software Developers

Sometimes you need an overpowered computer to play latest games, standard computers are usually not powerful enough for new games, that is the reason why they invented Xbox and PS.

I Believe that your game was created by UBISOFT.

You may have a copy protection conflict. Many games use EXTREMELY aggressive and harmful anti-piracy measures,
that often conflict with other games and software.

In fact many of these products, such as STAR-FORCE
used by UBISOFT up to two years ago behave like malware
to deliberately damage or replace Windows device drivers,
to cripple the CD ROM, and to hide like rootkits.

STAR-FORCE was the worst of the worst and it was classified
as a root-kit, that is why UBISOFT abandoned this protection
scheme a little over a year ago, due to a massive public outcry.

There may be a patch for your problem from UBISOFT, check this web link:

They seem to list your problem as one of the fixes,
near the bottom of this page

Good Luck, Martin

Can you help set up?

Is the CD ROM recognized in 'My Computer'?
Are other CDs able to run?
If not, ununstall CD ROM drivers, shutdown and restart, CD drive should then self install.

You can update ALL your drivers with this new program.
versiontracker Pro $29.95
