The only thing you can do is next time you come through, and your treated that way, just do what they say, afterwords ask to speak to thier supervisor, discuss the issue with them. That's gonna be your fastest and most direct approach.

I am sorry to hear of your problems entering the US

I have stopped spending money there and moved all my investments elsewhere to avoid any problems.

Since 9/11 the Americans have become paranoid about security.

I can only suggest you avoid travelling there. My experience with US customs is that they are becoming among the worst to deal with and are truly arrogant most of the time.

Again I am sorry about your problems.

Maybe contact your local MP, write to the US embassy closest to you, make your problems as widely knows as possible and maybe with a little luck they will get the message and leave you alone.

What dows thi have to do with a western digital hard drive? Obviously you don't follow directions, or choose to do thingsyour way. In the USA we take notice and i they are detaining you, because you dont follow directions, it makes me happy as a taxpayer to know our country is being protected

There is nothing you can do, the U.S Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has a "secret" list of people on its watchlist, and one of your names must be on this list. Supposedly there's a website that you can request your name be taken off, but I don't know if this has ever worked for anyone.
