Not familiar with specific model but check with a local dealer's service department...they can probably answer your question thoughts range from a short, to emergency brake light shut off worn on (it's mechanical), .....if you have a manual it should be in their.....(or flag down someone with the same model and ask)....PS....Was in Montana on the backroads for strange reasons but had a lot of people stop just to fact every truck or car I passed....and share a drink (more often than not a beer) so friendly folks are all around. Hope this helps....Tango

I have a emachine t 2245 and i forgot to remove a card reader from the usb port and it overloaded the supply, i have a idea that i poped a icp. i have all six usb ports dead and also have no audio,...

You can try a new PSU with at least 350 watts and that will determine as to whether the PSU is blown.n I'm suprised that a simple card reader would have blown the supply though, I wonder if you have managed to short out the board somehow. I can understand the USB controller chip being blown, but that and the audio too suggests that the power regulation has overloaded the motherboard

Power supply is only 12months old very little use. Was working fine but one day failed to turn on..its not overloaded its rated way,way above what my system should need. Being an auto electrician I thought...

This resistor is for overload its like a protection unit your system may Overload but you need a multimeter to test the Diodes and you might find that one of them is short this can cause the resistor to blown
you can find this resistor in High Voltage circuits
hope it will help

I've just installed a psda400 Diablotek power supply on an older compaq. On power up, no fan and red flashing light. Any ideas?

Get another power supply from another company. I purchased a Diabletek PHD450. It failed out of the box (verified by using known good supply). This was in July 2009. I got a RMA and they returned the same dead power supply with the same problem. After several calls I got another RMA. I returned the supply. UPS confirmed delivery. they still have not sent a replacement. It is now April 2010. When I call the support number on their web site I am given another number - no one is ever there. NEVER AGAIN - DIABLOTEK IS DEAD.

The ac adapter is not working for my gateway laptop any ideas?

is the green/red light lit? If you have a multimeter check the plug end to see if there is voltage flowing.

Other than that you can purchase a new power pack online through ebay or the Gateway site online.

cost about $45-50
