Wow, it just amazes me how non helpful some of these lame a.s comments are. Come on people you gots ta do better then that for advice!!
So you probably stole this thing and want to unlock it so you can put all your porn and music on it right?
Well buddy, make sure you got itunes loaded on your computer first and then open up the application. Now plug your cord into the itunes slot and then plug the usb part into your computer. Your ipod screen will say some name of the person's ipod you stole and will prompt you for the passcode, but you don't know it do you? Do you?? Your computer screen will say you need to sync your ipod with the original computer it synced up with the last time, but I bet you forgot to steal the computer while you were being chased out with a shotgun or you heard cop sirens.
Anyways, you gots ta hold down the top power button and the home button at the bottom of the ipod screen at the same time. Get your friend to do it if you got arthritis or are prone to finger cramping. A cancel screen will pop up on your ipod and you should continue holding on these buttons for dear life and just ignore the cancel screen. When the screen goes completely dark- release your death hold on the top power button but keep your other finger on the home button until the shiny gray apple logo shows up on the ipod screen. Now turn your head and look at the computer screen and it will say ipod is going in recovery mode and just press ok or the recovery mode button.
Now let your ipod and computer do its thing and your ipod will be restored to original factory settings and ready for you to put your porn and music on it.
The restore process will take a few minutes, so go take you a leak or get you a beer or something.
When the ipod is done you can set up your new pass code to something easier or don't use a fuc.k.n pass code and you won't have to stress over this sh.t again.

- I forgot: This thing has a time lapsed lockout feature so if you try too many times to input the code it will lock out the inputs for so many minutes or hours. You gots ta try again to input the codes after the unit unlocks itself and lets you try again, but if you repeatedly keep trying without success, then the unit will erase and destroy all the data it holds. This is a setting that can be turned on or off once you gain access to the ipod. Pretty cool James Bond sh.t hunh?Yes
