Re: tv problem

If you have any experience in soldering components, you may be able to fix the TV by simply locating the loose connections, near the vertical defletion circuit.

Re: tv problem

The vertical sweep circuit has failed.
Can't say that its because of being stored, but it is a common problem on CRT TV's. Something in that circuit has failed: The IC chip, one of the electrolytic capacitors (actually those do dry out over time and may well be your problem) or the power source from the flyback transformer may be out. Some or all of these may be involved. The good news is that all these parts are cheap and this repair is always worth doing.
Hope that ya fix it!

How do you reset a locked out channel when the code is forgotten?

Try pressing simultaneously the QV and 9 on the remote to bypass the parental lock. Then press the MENU button and go into the menu to turn the lock off. At least this is how it works on several other old Mitsubishi televisions. I don't have anything on ***********'s model, but this is worth a try. I hope it works for you.

Hi, Any authorized Mitsubishi dealer can order your board for you, If you live in a metro area go to Sears Service dept.(not the stores) and order one there, Mitsubishi is "proprietary parts" so you have to go to an authorized dealer, hope this helps you out, BMW Rider

Your TV is probably shutting down due to excessive current draw. Replace the filter capacitor in the power supply and cross your fingers. This will be a large, tall, and round shaped object near the location where your power cord goes into the TV. It has two pins and one is positive and other is negative. Do not get them crosses when installing new part. keever
