1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Error #1203. What do I do/

This is a error code which is seen in Lexmark Printers which remarks that the Printer's one Printer Head has a short circuit. This issue is a difficult-fixing issue, try to contact Lexmark, they will replace it. But before contacting them, try the Following steps, it may solve the issue:----
  1. First, get the All-In-One off.
  2. Then get the AIO unplugged from the Wall.
  3. Then after 5 min, Plug-in the AIO.
  4. Then at last, Re-install the Cartridges.

Appears in my printer and does not let me print and it says cosul

The 1203 error message is caused by either a communication failure between one of the printheads (cartridges) and the All-In-One (AIO), or by a short in one of the printheads. The procedures below will help you to resolve this issue

Error Message 1203??

These steps are for a Lexmark 4200, but I suspect they will work for your printer as well:

Cartridge Error: 1203

Your print cartridge has a short.

1. Press Power to turn your All-In-One off.
2. Unplug your All-In-One from the wall outlet.
3. Plug in your All-In-One.
4. Reinstall the cartridges.

If this does not resolve the problem, see More troubleshooting options, or replace your cartridges.
