Did a clean installed Windows XP-Pro on a Gateway G6-350 system that was previously running Windows 98 with no problems. The NIC is an MN-130. Window 98 had no problem with the adapter. Windows XP sees the NIC but doesn't know what adapter driver to load and Microsoft's own Broadband web site has a script error on it so I can't download a new copy of the driver.

First off I'm going to guess that you are using Internet Explorer. If that is the case then follow the directions after this paragraph. If you are not using Internet Explorer you need to switch over to Internet Explorer for at least the broadband networking downloads page because it only works with Internet Explorer on the downloads page.
In Internet Explorer go to tools | Internet options | The advanced Tab | make sure "disable script debugging" is checked & "display a notification about every script error".
