Question about HP Pavilion a305w (DM181AR) PC Desktop
When i turn the power on the computer begins to start up and then it freezes with HP INVENT LOGO ON SCREEN. any suggestions?
Sounds like your PC hang during POST, which mean some hardware is not behaving right. The first thing you could try is to reseat the memory (RAM). If you have two or more piece of RAM, remove all except one, then try each one to see if it will boot. Then the second thing you could try is unplug the hard-drive. Sometime a faulty harddrive will prevent PC from detecting it and cause POST stuck problem.

Assuming that you didn't do a fresh install of windows, Do this:
When the blue screen with the HP Invent logo
appears, press the F10 key on the keyboard. (You
have only a few seconds to press the F10 key
before the normal startup process continue
Then Select Full System Recovery (which will erase whatever you had in computer such as personal files, etc). Pretty much your system will be back as Factory Image
