The little oval hole where the washer lid with a pin sticks into to make the machine run is not functioning. We can bang the lid or put a screwdriver down in the oval hole to maintain contact, but it's getting more and more difficult to find the spot and maintain it to get the cylcle to finish. Is is worth fixing???
yes, it's worth fixing, take out the two screws holding the top control panel,i think on your washer they are in the back of each side of panel,if not pop off the corner covers on the left and right side of panel and remove screws, top panel is on hindges, lift it up and there will be two metal clips, use a straight blade screw driver and stick it in the part of metal clip that's cliped into the top of washer and push back on screw driver and that will release the clip, put them down on a table the same way you took them out so you'll remember how to put them back in.unclip the lid switch wires, they are plugged in to the top of washer, now tilt the frame up and pull to you and you now can get at the lid switch.put it back together and you should be all set
