you need the right heat sink for the cpu that you are using for the board check on board for cpu plug in, then plug the fan in make sure that you have enought heatsink paste on cpu not to much just enought to do the job. if that dose not do it then the board is bad.

First remove the power plug from the smps and press the power switch few time and wait for few minutes the re plug the power connector to the smps and switch on the computer if you still dont have power then you will have to check whether the smps work to test that its not enough to test the voltage in the 21/24 pin you will have to short the green wire and the black wire and see whether the smps fan is working if the fan is not working then the problem is with smps

Get an adapter so you can plug the fan into one of the power leads coming straight off the Power Supply. Or, get a fan that plugs directly into one of the Power Supply leads. Bypass your mobo and see if that takes care of it.

If this is the mobo in question it's probably one, or more of the Voltage Regulator Modules has gone bad.
(Voltage Regulator for the Processor. Two Processors, two Voltage Regulators)

Or perhaps one, or more of the Electrolytic Capacitors have gone bad.

A competent computer repair shop could replace them.

### Mer cury PVM7 mobo wont display on monitor

So I think you are saying it did work and then stopped, right?

If that's the case then I would try booting into the BIOS setup and reseting it first. If that does not work then I would reboot into the BIOS again and see if there is something there you need to enable for the AGP port to function.

If all this fails then you most likely have a bad motherboard. It's probably not worth the money to consider having it repaired, and I doubt you'd find anyone who's even interested trying.

Good luck.
