Drive not recognised on my HP Media Centre a1550a Pavilion PC. When I connect via my USB port I get a new hardware message, the wizard goes looking for drivers to install and then is unable to find them. The WD drive is recognised without any problems on my much older and slower Dell PC

Probably the size nay be above the parameters the existing software is able to recognize
Did you receive a disc and if you did not. Simply go to the page of the manufacturer and down load the driver, then the Plug and play should recognize it..
