Re: Pip wont turn off

Check the remote make sure the switch is in the tv position. check batteries. be sure to use the original remote, not the cable box or sat box remote. if that does not fix the problem let me know how you have it hooked up (what equipment you have and how it's connected).

Pip won't turn off. can the pip be removed or bypassed?

Some of the older sets with PIP require only the original remote to operate or turn on and off.

The PIP board usually develops problems with surface mounted caps and there is a "modification" where traces are cut and two 4.7 mfd caps inserted which will bypass the PIP board from the set--a model number would tell me if this is possible in your set or not--you missing the original remote? Almost any Mitsubishi remote of the era with PIP controls should do the job.

Sony kp-61xbr200 pip wont turn off

The sets made by Sony require the original working remote for this--several different remotes were used--A universal may call up the PIP but not be able to turn it off.

If you have the original remote use the swap or position buttons to see if they function at all--what remote are you using?

I can assist you but I need to know the name and model of the TV you are asking about. The only information that I have here is that you have a projection screen TV. Please clarify and I will be able to assist you further.

I have a Hitachi model 50ex8k in the left hand corner where the pip would apear there is a box with different color horizontal line that wont go awayr

Does the PIP button do anything to / for the box? It is just that it is tuned to an input with no signal, you should be able to remove it though with the PIP button...

Let me know what the PIP button does, if nothing that's very strange, but let me know and I can help you fix it.

Pip box will not turn off moves all around screen with button but wont turn off lost remote

Turn the set off and then unplug it for about 30 minutes. If that doesn't work then you will have to locate the original remote.

I had the same problem many times, and I don't have the original remote. Go into your menu options and select Auto-Program. It will run through all your channels, but when it is done, PIP will be off !! I have PIP!
