what is the code for this receiver? I want to program another Remote control.

    • Did anyone get the latest code that both turns it on AND off? I have codes 30135 and 30842 but one will turn it only on and the other will turn it only off but not both. I have Comcast DVR-3 Custom Remote for a Cisco DVR.

    • I have an Onkyo 640 with the same problem with my FIOS remote. To solve it I programmed the the remote as follows:

      1. AUX turn on the receiver

      2. DVD to turn off the receiver

      3. Power button to turn on/off the AUX followed by the DVD

    • I am also having the same problem with att uverse I can either turn it on or off but not both. :( I just bought this receiver last weekend and I am also having trouble programming the remote for the receiver to control my other equipment like my sony vcr, my jvc dvd, and my uverse Motorola cable dvr.

    • Me too! So far 0135 has it doing one or the other...and then most of the functions...but would love to have the code that makes it all work on my universal remote.

    • Trying to program Scientific Atlanta remote (Atlas) to turn on and off the TX-SR605. The codes provided will only turn it on or turn it off. Won't do both. The Onkyo web site is not exactly swift on answering questions. Can you help?

of the two sony universal remotes i have, it will only turn on the onkyo reciever and won't turn it off.

Your onkyo receiver and remote controller only decodes 4 digit codes so what you have to do is to call the manufacturer of the remote controller it self and ask for the hexa decimal codes for their remote. They should provide it to you coz they're the ones responsible on doing that.

Sony TV codes for the Onkyo TX-SR605 are : 0000, 0650, 1100, 1167, 1300, 1505, & 1651.
