Problem for Sony Handycam DCR-TRV250 Digital-8 Digital Camcorder

Transfering video ... but no audio is coming

transfering video from Sony Digital 8 700x to HP computer ... but no audio is coming through?. The transfer seems to work great ... but i get no audio (neither during the transfer nor in computer replay, but it is certainly there on tape). i have the DV cord connected, should there be audio cords as well ... i am the computer idiot :)

normally, cameras send audio separately on a different cord. if it does have a separate audio cord, this will likely be plugged in to the blue input on the audio card of the computer.
