My Printer (Canon PIXMA MX700) is saying, some ink tanks are not installed in place. I have removed and replaced them a few times and the red light stops flashing then i shut the cover and it still comes up with the same message UO72 !!
If the cartridges are in the correct position, you may have defective cartridges. If you are using after market cartridges, the electronic sensor chip built into the cartridge may be defective. I would remove the cartridges and try using OEM cartridges. You can also try new aftermarket cartridges from a different vendor. This should clear the problem.
Let me know if this does not solve the problem and we can look into other potential solutions.

The printing and copying functions of my Pixma MX700 work fine but the scanning function doesn't work. We recently got a new hard drive. Could that have anything to do with this? Does the printer need to be uninstalled/reinstalled?
