-   having the same problem, found this though i havent had a chance to give it a shot.....

You may need two discrete buttons to program other universal remote controls for Power On and Power Off. Because the remote does not have two free buttons, this feature had to be implemented using a sequence of buttons. Press the SAT button, then SAT Power, then press the PAGE UP for On and PAGE DOWN for Off, and then press the # button to exit. You may also use one of the following IR transmitting remotes:

• Platinum Plus
• 5.0 IR

-   Direct TV installed new HD Receiver and now I cannot control with the Xantech 291. The rest of the controls work just fine. Unfortunaely the guy who originally installed the 291 did not leave any manuals behind. -   bgjhesson
