Ticking noise in spin

I have Bosch WFMC3200 and when in spin cycle there is a metal rapping/ticking noise. When no clothes in machine and spinning, no ticking noise.
Could be a weak basket spring or shock?
thanks for any help

    No, nothing, very clean inside the basket. The noise is definately coming from inside towards the rear of washer. If I rock the basket by hand from front to rear, I can hear it make metal contact. Sounds just like this metal sound when its spinning. This is why I'm thinking a weak spring. Any thoughts?

    thanks again.

The brackets that hold the top cabinet piece on will rattle quite loudly during the spin cycle as well. Replacing the plastic brackets doesn't always get rid of the sound, as there is some play.

Possible. First run your hand around the inside drum...be careful...sometimes there can be an object stuck in the holes and the extra vibration can set it off. common objects are bra wires and hair clips (sorry ladys its the truth) followed very closely by......(you guessed it ladys) Nails

    If your machine is under 5 years old I would think not...small possibility. More likely something is loose...quite common in front loaders. The first would be to check all internal brackets starting with the suspension spigots. It does not sound drastic if theres no noise with out a load in it. Trust this will be of some help.

Bosche axxis washer spin cycle ticking noise

Assuming everything else is working normally, I would still suspect there is an object that is getting stuck between the rotating drum and the outer housing. Maybe not coins, but something longer, like a pocket comb or the wire inserts used in some garments. It is easy to take the top off of the unit, and this might help to isolate the noise better. Early spin is usually a bit unbalanced, so it is possible it could also be something really simple like a hose clamp that has sagged enough to be contacting something else, and it only shows up when the machine is bouncing a bit.

Best guess is a timer contact problem, usually caused by advancing the timer by hand without pushing the dial in to stop the machine first.This causes burnt contacts.

if the timer is still running (ie the ticking noise) and it isnt doing any thing you may have a broken coupling - belt or the motor is shot

your kenmore sounds like it lost the coupler do you feel ok opening the machine and inspecting the part?
the loud noise may be the coupler. I think your timer is working ok. because it goes through the cycle..

If you inspect it to be a bad coupler you can go here www.techray1.com and click on the link

let me know

Ticking/chirping sound during slow spin

it will more than likely be a bra wire stuck between inner and outer drum it will only sound when clothing is in it due to the weight of clothing and water so it wont be heard with just water init or by pushing it around by hand only thing u can really do is eiether strip it yourself or by getting an engineer in but what i would do is leave it after a while it will dislodge itself and go into the pipe underneath the washer in the pipe that is in the middle of the drum check this when the sound stops love
